DRR follows the overall EI2016 Submission Guidelines, and, as such, will allow three types of submission (with different deadlines).
The IS&T International Symposium on Electronic Imaging allows for three paper submission options. Authors may select any of the three following options:
- Combined DRR and Journal of Imaging Science and Technology (JIST) full paper.
Deadline: June 30, 2015
- Regular full DRR proceedings paper
July 15, 2015August 15, 2015 (extended)
- Short paper with late breaking results or industrial applications (not included in proceedings, but presented at the conference)
Deadline: September 11, 2015
All full papers accepted for presentation at EI using the journal or proceedings submission option (categories 1. and 2.) will be available for free download via the IS&T Digital Library on the IngentaConnect platform. Presentation-only submissions may be available on the Symposium website with author permission.
Papers should be submitted through the EI2016 Submission portal.
Authors are required to submit full versions of their paper (8-12 pages). Papers not respecting this requirement will not be reviewed and will be automatically rejected.
Note: The committee has received several questions seeking clarification about the page limits for DRR. The IS&T template states 4-6 pages. Please ignore the template and follow DRR requirement of 8-12 pages.
The review process takes into account both the quality and the depth of development of the scientific and experimental content of a paper. Papers should clearly identify the problem addressed in the work, identify the original contribution(s) of the paper, relate the paper to previous work, justify and document the methods of the paper, and provide substantive experimental and/or theoretical evaluation.
The program committee favors papers that take advantage of the opportunity to develop, argue, and provide compelling experimental evidence. We recommend using the LaTeX template for preparing submissions. Note that it is the author’s responsibility to produce the PDF for upload in the submission process, regardless of the original source format. For accepted submissions, the final published manuscripts are expected to be a minimum of 8 pages and are required in either Word or PDF.
Papers undergo a single blind reviewing process, and authors will be notified in October.
